This was a collage poetry assignment for the Extending the Document writing workshop through the Murphy Writing school taught by Stephanie Cawley in Winter 2022. My subject for the class was to document the creation of my art show called Guardians opening at Nashville North Studios in Linwood, NJ for the 2022 holiday season. This piece specifically addresses the owls in my collection, what they symbolize for me and my move to working in mixed media as a medium and researching the origin of the art form.
